How Our Food Mission Works

Growing food to share, right here on the Kenai Peninsula

Eden’s Edge Farm is a working nonprofit farm in Nikiski, Alaska. We raise livestock and produce food with the goal of helping local seniors and families who face food insecurity.

Raise and grow

Our animals and farm need dependable daily care, especially through Alaska's long winters. Hay, feed, shelter, veterinary attention and safe growing supplies are the foundation for producing food.

Prepare and share

The work continues through harvesting, appropriate handling, packing and arranging food distribution. We aim to provide food to neighbors in need while respecting their privacy and dignity.

Make it sustainable

Farm supplies, transportation, equipment and volunteers or in-kind support can help us maintain a reliable local food-security program.

Our guiding principle: We feed people because no one should be hungry.
